How Therapy can Help

  • Strengthen Self-Esteem - Is your confidence lacking? Sometimes past traumas can cause us to doubt ourselves and feel a sense of guilt and shame, leaving us anxious and/or depressed.  I believe healthy self-esteem is the foundation for happiness and solid relationships.  

  • Set Healthier Boundaries - Do you prioritize others' needs?  It is vitally important to learn to prioritize self-care in order to find peace and improve relationships. 

  • Improve Communication and Learn Conflict Resolution - Are some of your relationships challenging and uncomfortable? Learning improved communication skills can help to form deeper more solid relationships. 

  • Learning Coping Skills and Self-Calming Techniques - Do you get overwhelmed and feel like things are out of control and you don't know what to do next? Learning self-soothing skills can be a game changer.

  • And the List Goes On - Processing past negative experiences and changing your perspective on things can dramatically change your life in positive ways. Many aspects of mental health are related so that improving one can have a chain reaction and improve others and your well-being in general.

Some of the evidence-based Therapy Modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman's Couples Counseling, and Family Systems Therapy.
